Read a carrier quote into the form.

Paste the quote text or upload the carrier PDF. What the reader fills in, what it leaves blank, and what happens to the file afterwards.

Screen recording

Not recorded yet. When it is, it will show the same commercial quote read in twice, once pasted and once as a PDF, with the leftovers line and a deliberately blank field both on screen.

The steps below are the whole procedure either way. A recording here never carries a step the text does not.

  1. Paste labeled lines

The paste box reads labeled lines: Named Insured, Quote Number, Effective Date, Total Premium and the rest. Press Fill form from paste and the fields it recognized land in the form.

Lines it does not recognize are listed under the box as leftovers. They are shown rather than mapped, because a wrong field is worse than an empty one.

  2. Or upload the carrier PDF

Choose the file and press Fill form from PDF. The reader copies what is printed on the quote into the form. It does not guess: a value the document does not state stays blank, and a blank is where you look first.

  3. Review before you save

Read the filled form against the quote in front of you, the same way you would check a colleague's work. Nothing that came out of the reader has reached a client at this point, and nothing will until you send.

  4. Decide what happens to the file

An uploaded carrier quote is stored for 90 days and then expires on its own. Letting the client download it is off by default, and it should stay off unless you mean it: the original can carry dates of birth, vehicle identification numbers and loss history that a proposal does not need to show.
